Meet the Host
Scott Grates opened new market on December 1, 2009 in a tiny, rural Central NY town. His agency quickly realized explosive auto and fire growth and has increased auto and fire PIF for ten straight years. His agency has traveled every single year, most at level 3, as well as consistently achieving Chairman’s Circle and SVP recognition. Scott accomplishes this annually with a small team, smaller marketing budget and all while balancing responsibilities as a husband, father of three, youth sports coach and community leader.
In 2019, Scott authored the book Insurance Agency Optimization to provide Agents and Team Members a high-level overview of his best practices. Scott’s purpose and passion is training, coaching and speaking to groups of Agents and Team Members. His Insurance Agency Optimization Mastermind group brings together like-minded individuals who have an unquenchable thirst for continuous daily improvement.
Scott’s mission is to provide outrageously high quality content and the most effective training system in the insurance industry at a fraction of the cost of ineffective “here today and gone tomorrow” seminars.
